Mel is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a passion for supporting adults and adolescents through life’s challenges and transitions. She brings a compassionate, grounded presence to therapy and is committed to creating a collaborative, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and feminist therapy, Mel takes an eclectic approach that tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and values. She works closely with clients to explore their stories, identify patterns, and build practical skills for healing, growth, and self-empowerment.

Education & Clinical Background
Mel earned her Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Her diverse academic background informs her holistic and narrative-driven approach to therapy, helping clients reflect, reframe, and reconnect with their inner strengths.
