Shannon Samartino is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where children, adolescents, and young adults feel safe, understood, and valued. Shannon approaches therapy with empathy, patience, and authenticity, recognizing that each stage of development comes with its own unique challenges and strengths.

Shannon works collaboratively with clients and their families to navigate emotional and behavioral concerns, build healthy coping skills, and strengthen confidence. She understands the importance of meeting young people where they are and creating a space where they can express themselves openly. Whether a client is struggling with anxiety, school-related stress, emotional regulation, or life transitions, Shannon provides a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for growth and healing.

Shannon’s goal is to support young individuals in developing resilience, improving self-awareness, and feeling more confident as they move through different stages of life.

Education & Clinical Background

Shannon earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She is a certified school social worker and has experience working in school settings and community-based crisis services. Shannon has provided individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination with families, schools, and community providers to support children and adolescents across a variety of environments.
