Julia Buzzo is a dynamic and open-minded therapist who believes that effective counseling lies in building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and respect. Julia’s goal is to create a safe space where you feel valued and understood so that you can be your most authentic self.
Her approach is strength-based and trauma-informed, acknowledging the resilience and resources you bring to this process. She uses CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and grief and loss counseling in her practice.
Julia brings eight years of experience in direct client care, having worked in healthcare, community, and residential mental health settings. This background allows her to serve a wide range of populations.

Julia earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received specialized training in gerontology through the Gerontology Resources and the Aging Community in Education (GRACE) program. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Hartford.
